Happy Birthday Booklet - Make Birthday's Special!!

Whenever a birthday lands on a ‘school’ day, I ask the children to interview the birthday boy or girl. They ask questions about presents, favourite things etc. and I record the information on the board. The children then complete their birthday booklet (attached) for the birthday child. The birthday child also completes a birthday booklet (attached) about themselves. Once finished, I put all the booklets together with a simple binder and laminate the front and back cover. The children really enjoy taking home a special birthday book on their birthday; one they can cherish forever and look back on in years to come. I’ve attached all the booklets you need, 14 front cover (examples) and a ‘Happy Birthday’ slide. Fully editable!

Assembly: Work Together, Learn Together. 15 - 20 minutes long. Song, discussion opportunities, short story script and prayer included. Preparation: Ask groups of children to demonstrate (through role play) how they work together, e.g. in the classroom (helping with tasks); at lunchtime (good manners) and on the playground (playing fairly). These role plays will be shown during the assembly. You will also need 2 broom handles (or metre sticks) for the story. Fully editable.

Happy Birthday Booklet

A great way of celebrating a child’s birthday in your class! Celebrate a child’s birthday by allowing the class to “interview” the birthday child (hot seating). Then complete the birthday booklets (there are differentiated booklets for boys and girls). There is also a separate booklet for the ‘birthday child’ to complete. Once the booklets have been completed, just staple them together and send them home for the birthday child to keep. You can even make a front cover for all the birthday booklets (I’ve attached 14 to choose from - all editable). The children love this (and parents too). Fully editable.

Well-Being Chart - Pictures & Tracking Sheet!

(0)
Well Being Chart - Pictures & Tracking Sheet An excellent way to track your student’s well-being throughout the year. 14 pages. HOW IT WORKS: Display the 10 emotions somewhere in your classroom. Each day, the children must choose an emotion that best describes how they FEEL. They must stick their name next to the relevant emotion … just laminate the children’s names and add blue tack to the back so that they can stick their name on the chart. Also attached is a ‘Teacher’ Chart to record and monitor your student’s well being on a weekly basis. Fully editable!
